Allchin Library - Pre-History and Archaeology of Indian Subcontinent and Afghanistan and Central Asia

Only the Russian section and the extensive off-print collections are currently in Brooklands House. When the remainder is received, this will include major collections on the prehistory, proto-history, early historic archaeology and ethno-archaeology of the countries of South Asia. The Indus civilization is well represented, and many publications are of South Asian origin. There is also a Central Asian collection, including numerous Russian publications. This library complements the van Lohuizen library in many respects, bringing additional materials on epigraphy (including a  complete run of Epigraphia Indica),numismatics and the history of architecture.
