BaileyArchives Project - currently nearing completion
Sir Harold corresponded with many eminent scholars, as well as with membersof his family and with friends, and kept a great many papers, note books,diaries and photographs relating to his research and writing, and to histravels and friendships. All this material is currently being very effectivelyarranged and catalogued by Mrs. Pat Flett, under the supervision of Dr. AlmutHintze. The quantity of material and the confusion it was in at the time of SirHarold's death, make this a major task. When completed it will make thematerial available to scholars, interested people and potential biographers.The work has been funded so far largely by donations from members of theAmerican Friends Committee and from the committee of the CorpusInscriptionum Iranicarum, and is likely to require some months' further work tocomplete.
